Wizard X4 Productivity Suite™
InstallationThe Wizard X4 Productivity Suite includes three applications: iConsultant™, ConvertMSTR, and Config-TRKR.
The suite of applications may be installed on your Microsoft Dynamics GP or SL server, as long as that server host meets the published specs for Microsoft Dynamics GP or SL host machines.
The suite may also be installed on a client workstation, remote from the servers. In this case, that workstation must meet the published specifications for Microsoft Dynamics GP and SL clients.
Typically, the suite of all three applications is installed on the same machine. Config-TRKR may be installed by itself, though. The technical requirement for this standalone installation of Config-TRKR requires less hardware than that needed for the entire suite.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 – server based installation
The Wizard X4 Productivity Suite supports Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 up to SP1.
Here are the server-based installation requirements for the Wizard X4 Productivity Suite for GP:
- Operating System:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (32-bit or 64-bit) Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2, OR
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit or 64-bit) Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2
- Database:
- Microsoft SQL Server™ 2005 Service Pack 2 (32-bit or 64-bit) Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition, OR
- Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000 Standard Edition with Service Pack 4
- Remote host access from workstation via Remote Desktop Connection, or local host access with display/keyboard/mouse attached to server
- Computer with 3.0 GHz or faster CPU
- 1 GB or more of RAM
- 1 GB of available hard disk space in addition to what is required for the operating system and other programs on the server host
- Internet access required for communication with Wizard servers for installation, registration, checkpoint updates, and general support.
- Web browser:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 SP 1 or later
- Internet Explorer 7.0
Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 - server based installation
The Wizard X4 Productivity Suite supports Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 up to Service Pack 1.
Here are the server-based installation requirements for the Wizard X4 Productivity Suite for SL:
- Operating System:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2, OR
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (32-bit only) with Service Pack 2
- Database:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (32-bit Standard or Enterprise Edition) with Service Pack 1 or later, OR
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (64-bit Standard or Enterprise Edition) with Service Pack 1 or later
- Remote host access from workstation via Remote Desktop Connection, or local host access with display/keyboard/mouse attached to server
- Computer with 3.0 GHz or faster CPU
- 1 GB or more of RAM
- 1 GB of available hard disk space in addition to what is required for the operating system and other programs on the server host
- Internet access required for communication with Wizard servers for installation, registration, checkpoint updates, and general support.

Installation on a Client Workstation
The Wizard X4 Productivity Suite may be installed on a client workstation.
Here are the installation requirements for such this approach:
- Operating System:
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2
- Microsoft Windows Vista Business or greater
- MSDE 2000/Express
- Computer with 3.0 GHz or faster CPU
- 1 GB or more of RAM
- 1 GB of available hard disk space in addition to what is required for the operating system and other programs on the client workstation
- Display monitor with a resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher, keyboard, mouse
- Connectivity to the application and database servers for the GP or SL applications, which includes network access and appropriate userid security permissions.
- Internet access required for communication with Wizard servers for installation, registration, checkpoint updates, and general support.
- Web browser:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 SP 1 or later
- Internet Explorer 7.0
Optional considerations for ConvertMSTR™
ConvertMSTR can import data from any of the following sources:
- Spreadsheets created by Microsoft Excel 2003 or 2007
- Data files created by QuickBooks version 2003 or later
- Text data from comma delimited, CSV-formatted files
Standalone installation of Config-TRKR
Config-TRKR may be installed by itself, apart from the Wizard X4 Productivity Suite.
This approach has lesser technical requirements that for an installation of the entire Wizard X4 Productivity Suite. Here are the installation requirements for Config-TRKR by itself:
- Operating Systems:
- Windows XP Pro SP2
- Vista Business or greater - no service packs required
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (32-bit or 64-bit) Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit or 64-bit) Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2
- Computer with 2.0 GHz or faster CPU
- 1 GB or more of RAM
- 200 MB of available hard disk space in addition to what is required for the operating system and other programs on the client workstation
- Display monitor with a resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher, keyboard, mouse
- Connectivity to the database servers for the GP or SL applications, which includes network access and appropriate userid security permissions.
- Internet access required for communication with Wizard registration, checkpoint updates, and general support.
- Web browser:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 SP 1 or later
- Internet Explorer 7.0
